Yes and No.
This depends on the Individual's own personal definition of "Religion".

If the question is presented from the prespective of someone who still adheres to a Mainstream Religious reality tunnel, as in "Religion" meaning either the worship of an external deity or an unhealthy oppressive and/or restrictive way of life, then No, Therian Magic is not this kind of "religion".

Our use of the word "Temple" is less like that of a Religious Temple (i.e. Jewish Temples, Mayan Temples),
and more closely resembling the Masonic use of the term.
We consider Therian Temple a metaphysical study group, and an alliance of like minds who already agree,
as opposed to a traditional "church" or "congregation", in which "followers" are "indoctrinated".
IS THERIAN TEMPLE AFFILIATED WITH OTHER GROUPS?
The Therian Temple is NOT Officially affiliated with ANY other group or organization.
That being said, Our members are allowed to be members of anything they choose,
so long as it does not involve illegal activity.
Although un-affiliated, The Therian Temple is not "hostile" towards any existing organization.
IS THERIAN TEMPLE A WEREWOLF VERSION OF THE TEMPLE OF THE VAMPIRE?
NO. We are in no way related to the practices of the The Temple of the Vampire,
which defines itself strictly as a "Religion", whereas, Therian Temple does not.
Another defining difference is that The Temple of the Vampire deals with "External" energies,
and Therian Temple deals strictly with naturally existing "Internal" elements.
The only real similarity between the two organizations are the word "Temple" (albeit used in a different manner),
and the word "Bible" to refer to the text being studied, as many groups use.
As stated above, Our members are allowed to be members of anything they choose,

We Require That all Potential members make the Required Donation, and prefer that members purchase or download the Therian Bible for a few reasons:
1. We want to make sure that you know what you're getting into.
We do not want to waste time with people who may disagree with the precepts in the Therian Bible.
2. To discourage the casually interested. People are less likely to randomly join something just because it "looks interesting" if they have to spend a little money to get involved. This Temple is not intended to be an Identity Badge for anyone who simply is interested in Therianthropy.
3. Basic Communications. When communicating with other Temple members, there needs to be an assumed "language" of Therian Magic which we all refer to, and by requiring that everyone get the book, we eliminate the "Knows vs. Know-nots" social element.

Therians, having Human physiology, cannot digest raw meat as an Animal does, so therefore there is no way to follow the diet of one's Animal side, without facing serious health risks.
The plant based diet is one element to help attain the healthiest physical condition of your Human body that is ideal for Ritual Magic.
In short, we believe the best physical condition for the most effective ritual magic is attained by a plant based diet.
This does not mean that you may never eat meat, but that it is "most effective" to abstain from it during times when one is practicing ritual magic.
